Trinity-TLC invites you to come join us for a
relaxed time to explore the MEANING OF
Over a 10 week period we will be coming together to share a meal in a
relaxed atmosphere and just talk life…weather…sports…kids…work…
or anything else that comes up over the dinner table. From there we
will engage in an Alpha video which will talk about some of the
“Meaning of Life” questions as they are found in Scripture….lastly we
will have time in small groups to discuss those questions as they relate
to our lives or each other’s own understanding!

Food Pantry Focus for April is Mac ‘n cheese, cereal and dish detergent. The Food Pantry is open for business: The 2nd and 4th Friday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and Every Saturday from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. Make a commitment this year to bring something every week for the Food Pantry.
Walk For Others is coming April 26th at 9:00 am at TLC. Entrants walk the TLC track three times with sponsors paying so much per lap. So get your walking shoes ready and join us for the fun, fellowship and exercise. An announcement sheet with space for sponsors names will be in the bulletin beginning April 6th. Any questions, see Laura Phelps. Proceeds go to the Missions budget.
Annual Highway 38 Sale is May 2nd and 3rd. Booth space is available for groups or individuals. If you are interested in setting up a space for your rummage or craft sales, or if you have any suggestions on how to help make TLC a bigger part of this annual event, please contact Carolyn Wilson at 534-4171 or the church office at 534-4222.
Mission Service Opportunity: Kids Against Hunger is a non-profit corporation in the U.S. and Canada dedicated to alleviating hunger around the world. On May 31st from noon until 2:00 p.m. you can be a part of the 2014 Annual Conference session Outreach at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis. Volunteers will be assembling 70,000 one pound packets of food to feed the hungry in Indiana and Guatemala through KAH and United Methodist-related Mission Guatemala. To volunteer, register on line at INUMC.org. Registration opens April 2. A charge of $5 per participant will help defray some of the event costs. If you would like to go as a group, contact Linda Teeters or Cindy in the church office. Families with children are welcome.
United Methodist Mountain Mission: Spring is here and time for the annual pick up! The dates this year are May 5-7 and May 12-14. We do not have an exact date for our scheduled pick up, so just make sure your donations are dropped off before May 5th. Donated items can be placed in the white trailer in the parking lot at the Lapel Campus. See insert for “Urgent Needs List.”
Easter Bible School will be held on Wednesday, April 16 from 3:15 to 6:00 pm. Children will enjoy an after school snack, games, crafts, music, and a Bible lesson. Families and friends are invited to a delicious Come Join Us dinner at 6:00 pm. After dinner the children will present a short Passion Play to share what they have learned. You may register by printing off registration forms on our web page at www.trinity-tlc.com under Children’s Ministries Easter Bible School. Registration forms can also found in the April Trinity Breeze newsletter or by contacting the office or one of the preschool teachers. Transportation from LES will be available if you turn in your registration by Monday, April 14th.
April 6th at Ford Street UMC: Ford Street UMC has invited us to join them for a chicken & noodle dinner Sunday April 6th after church in their fellowship hall. Come enjoy good food and fellowship.
Mission Serve 2014: The youth will also be traveling to Cherokee, NC this July for our summer mission trip. This trip is open to all students who will be going into the 6th grade next school year, through graduating seniors. We are registering for this trip starting in February. The cost of the trip is $150 and there will be a $50 deposit required that is non-refundable. See Mike for any questions. This will be4 an awesome opportunity for you students to put their faith into action!
Moment’s Notice: Missions is in need of more participants for Moment’s Notice for 2014. Please prayerfully consider joining this worthwhile mission. You can pick up forms at either entrance to the Sanctuary and drop them in the offering plate or turn them in to the church office.
Offering Envelopes: You may pick up your offering envelopes for 2013. They are outside the sanctuary in the Narthex and in the Education Wing at Trinity, and outside the Sanctuary at TLC.
Prayer Bears & Prayer Shawls: Stuffed animals and hand made shawls are available for anyone in need of encouragement, affirmation or a lift of their spirit. These items carry a special blessing and many heartfelt prayers for those in need. Anyone is welcome to take these items to give away. They are located at the front left-hand corner of the Sanctuary at the Lapel Campus. Other stuffed animals or shawls are available by contacting Bonnie Barmes.
Greeters: Joan Everitt has graciously agreed to coordinate those who wish to serve as greeters for the Lapel Campus this year. If you are interested in serving in this way, please let Joan know, or call the church office.
Altar Flowers: If you would like to participate in dedicating Altar flowers this year, please contact Fran Calvert. Cost for two vases placed at the altar is $30. Please let Fran know what you would like to have put in the bulletin and if you have a preference for color or type of flower.
