My Soul Rejoices!

"I keep the Lord always before me; therefore my heart is glad, and my soul rejoices."
Psa. 16:8 RSV

What a wonderful experience it has been here at Trinity UMC and TLC. We are enjoying the good people of Lapel and working on getting to know all of you. What a wonderful community. Our Lapel experience began with fire works. No, it was good fire works. Then there was parade. We walked with the Sunday School Class that hands out cold pop and water along the parade route. This year they handed out 3,000 drinks with a Trinity lapel on each can and bottle! What an amazing outreach tool for our church. What a wonderful witness of Christian love. Fire works, parades, worship, great meals, warm welcomes and jesters of Christian kindness have greeted us here at Lapel Trinity and TLC Thank you all again. Donna and I look forward to many years of serving together with you here in Lapel.

But, I have to say the high light of our first three weeks here has to be the love and support we have experienced with the staff here. Bonnie, Connie, Dawn, Steve and the worship people at Trinity and TLC have overwhelmed us. They have guided us through this time of transition with Christian love and amazing grace. Thank you so much for helping us land safely here in Lapel.

The other light point was V.B.S. ! What a blast! Connie and her sixty plus staff put on one awesome fantastic week of fun and Christ centered learning. They not only taught the children how Christians are to serve wholeheartedly, they showed it by their actions. What a wonderful experience it was for Donna and to share four evenings with the wonderful, bright and active kids of this area.

You should all be proud of your staff and the wonderful spirit that everyone here at Trinity and TLC exhibits.
